![]() ![]() I believe I clicked Upgrade (but the upgrade may have started on its own) and the new software downloaded. With TB open, I went to Help > About Thunderbird and the screen showed an upgrade to 115.3.1 was available. When I first opened TB today (before attempting an upgrade) I got a screen talking about the benefits of 115.3.1 and showing colorful screens with more options than I had with the current TB. One cannot make good assumptions on how this will look on all desktop environments, so it's best to not mess around with the window titlebar at all.I was running an older version of Thunderbird (don't ask the version because the About screen now shows 115.3.1) that had a bland color scheme (best way to describe it) that I downloaded about 6 months ago. ![]() It might work well in one, but will mess the experience up in another one. Messing around with the desktop environment's window decoration is confusing and looks weird. This might be something that some folk find pleasant, I for my part don't like it at all. Honestly, it looks ugly because this is the only window that modifies the window bar and if makes it stand out in a not good way This feels very much like a GNOME application running on KDEĤ. Unless Thunderbird is maximised, there is almost no space to grab the window and drag it along (unless one decides to remove the search bar)ģ. No other application ever has had this, this feel off and is very confusing.Ģ. The menu bar is now below the main toolbar. This makes it look very weird on KDE for multiple reasons:ġ. The main toolbar now is integrated into the window titlebar. I'm running Thunderbird 115 since this morning and have still problems getting along with the recent UI changes. ![]()
